Container Homes

Wednesday, August 12th, 2009

With a surplus of shipping containers filling ports all over the world, it’s no wonder people are using them as a green alternative to building. Shipping containers are durable, inexpensive and can be stacked up to 9 containers high, which makes it easy to start off with a modest size home and add on later down the road. Check out these examples of modern-style shipping container homes. (Even the pool in the second photo is made from a shipping container.)

Rebranding the World

Monday, July 13th, 2009

OK, so maybe we didn’t rebrand the entire world but this is about as close as anyone will ever get. Folklorama is the world’s largest cultural festival and we led them through a strategic plan and re-branding exercise. Now our favourite cultural festival looks as world class as it is.

See the full roll out in our portfolio section.

The Hairy Truth

Monday, July 13th, 2009

After years of debate the truth is finally out there. Women prefer men with hair on their heads. This playful campaign for the Sheps Hair Transplant Clinic was launched at the end of June, much to the disappointment of men who thought back hair was the bomb.

Poster Art

Tuesday, July 7th, 2009

If anyone can ever, EVER find me one of Rob Jones‘ beautiful posters I would gladly thank you a million times over. I’ve been checking up on his site for years, and not once have I ever seen his posters for sale. Such gorgeous work, such limited quantities…

Re-covering addict

Monday, July 6th, 2009

Well, perhaps the title is a bit misleading, but it’s safe to say the addiction is real. This past weekend my fiance and I finally began re-covering a small rocking chair we’ve had since the Summer of 2008. This poor little guy was thrown in the trash by a neglectful owner, and luckily we recognized it’s true potential. We’ve only completed phases 1 (stripping the material) 2 (sanding down the wood) and 3 (staining), but with our keen Amy Butler fabric and cushions in tow, we hope to post a complete photo in the coming weeks.

Free As a Bird

Wednesday, July 1st, 2009

Congratulations to Frances Tester, GM of Garden City Shopping Centre for achieving retirement-dom. She’ll be missed. As a final token of our appreciation for years of being a great client, we’ve designed a fun invitation for her send-off. It’s a surprise though, so don’t tell her.

Baby Turns One Scoop

Wednesday, July 1st, 2009

You only turn one once. Such is the case for our newest future Neuhaus Design-er, Lochlan Beattie. As an obvious attempt at trying to woo her at a young age, we’ve designed her first birthday party invite for her. If this invite doesn’t sweeten the deal, the ice cream surely will.
